Plethysmograph Simulator

An instrument for the verification of lung volumes measured by plethysmography. The Plethysmograph Simulator consists of a sinusoidal rolling-seal pump with interchangeable iso-thermal chambers of approximately 2 and 4 Liters.

The device is controlled via a bluetooth interface operated either directly through a PC or using a handheld Palm Pilot. Pump frequency can be varied from 40 to 100 cycles per minute.

Each chamber is manufactured to precise standards providing two volumes within physiological ranges for VTG measurement verification.
